Arabella

Arabella Rose Moreno, was born July 2, 1999, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Arabella was the youngest of five children. She was precious and was loved by everyone.

On February 3, 2007, Arabella Rose was killed by her mother, Sherri Love. The original diagnosis was “Manic Depressive Disorder”.

Sherri also stabbed her 8 year old son, telling him “This won’t hurt”. Brian was able to get away and go to neighbors saving himself.

Purpose of this website

I wish to get a law passed in the State of Nevada and call it “Arabella’s Law”.

The State of New York passed a law in November 1999, called “Kendra’s Law”.

Kendra Webdale was in a subway station in Manhattan, waiting for a train. A man with a history of mental illness, arrests and commitments, who had just tried to check himself into a mental health department, pushed Kendra in front of the train.

Gov. Pataki was horrified, as was the entire city.

Kendra’s Law was signed by Gov. Pataki on 8-9-1999, creating a statutory framework for court-ordered assisted outpatient treatment (AOT) to ensure that individuals with mental illness, and a history of hospitalizations or violence participate in community-based services for their appropriate needs.

The proposed Nevada law should be modeled after “Kendra’s Law”. Click here for details.
